Paul recently completed these trompe l'oeil pieces at a large estate home in Rancho Santa Fe, CA. The clients wanted classic scenes with Roman pillars around their authentic, 2000 year old statues. Note the depth achieved with this treatment. These are 12' high trompe l'oeil works. Click on either image to enlarge and see before and after photos, side by side.

This faux finishing work was recently completed in a lovely Rancho Santa Fe home. The clients wanted Paul to improve the way in which one of their wonderful artifacts was displayed. Paul achieved this goal by painting a faux finish wall of antiquity between the artifacts. Click here to see an enlargement of the photo with before and after images.

In a new Spanish style home in Rancho Santa Fe, Paul was commissioned to create murals depicting a guitar player playing to a Flamenco dancer on opposite sides of a grand entry.

In this 30' high La Costa living room, clients requested a mural of Roman columns to compliment their ancient art collection.

A painting in the trompe l'oeil technique, this depicts a country side observed from the window of an italian villa. Click here to see a larger version of the image.

This is an example of a grotessca, done as a wall hanging. Wall hangings are ideal for people who want to invest in decorative interior painting, yet feel they may not permanently reside in their current home. Click here to see a larger version of the image.

This worn piece of furniture was given new life through an attractive finish and celestial theme designs. Click here to see a larger version with a left and right view.

A fine mural, this is an excellent example of Paul's years of experience in realistic painting. This type of scene would make an ideal trompe l'oeil, especially in an area which would benefit from having the look of a window. Click here to see a larger version of the image.

This is a photo of a valence Paul created for a home using many of the painting techniques he has learned. The bougainvillea flowers were painted in an impressionistic style over a textured base coat to give a soft feeling to the piece. Paul also constructed the valence out of wood to fit the client's window. Click here to see a larger version of the image.

This is another example of the grotessca style of interior painting. Here you can see how this style of painting is also suited to rich, deep colors and thus could add drama to an interior space. Click here to see a larger version of the image.

This is an example of fauxstone finishing applied over a soft image of a mythological figure. This type of treatment would work well indoors or out. Click here to see a larger version of the image.
